John T. Pike, 93, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, in Prescott, Ariz. He will be buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home of Prescott directed.
John was born to Charles David and Lula Mae Yates Pike in Wedowee, and was raised in Bear Creek. He was the last survivor of 11 siblings. John served in the U.S. Army Motor Pool in Japan, serving as chauffeur for Colonel Laurence Bunker and General Douglas MacArthur. His contagious laughter and sense of humor will be missed by his many friends in Lakewood, Colo., Branson, Mo. and Prescott.
John was devoted to his children, Madelaine, David and Perry. He had six grandchildren, Valerie, Amanda, Jonathon, Leisel, Jamie and Brian and eight great-grandchildren.
