On Monday, May 10, 2021, Betty Jo Cooper Lambert, loving wife and mother of a son, passed away at the age of 79. Betty Jo was born in a home on April 20, 1942 in Russellville. She married Troy Lambert and she raised her son, Michael Lambert. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Betty Jo had a passion for two things, her family and baseball games. She'd spend endless hours talking with everyone and loving on everyone. Betty Jo was an awesome ball player in her youthful days and loved to watch Major League Baseball on TV. She was also a die hard Roll Tide fan, never missing a game on TV! She was known for her quick wit, her infectious laughter and her kind and loving spirit.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Eldrado Cooper; mother, Hattie Lucille Granger Cooper and sisters and brothers, Janette Gazaway, Frances Southern, Agnes Southern, Lee Cooper, Jack Cooper, Geraldean Freshour, Emma Glenn, E.R. Cooper and Donella Roberts.
She is survived by her son, Michael Lambert, his wife Susan and four granddaughters, Gina Hellman, Anisa Singleton, Lisa Lambert and Sarina Lambert, along with nieces and nephews.
Her visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2021 from 1 - 2 PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Her graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery in Brilliant.
