Michael "Mike" Anthony Box, 49, of Houston, passed away at his residence on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. The family states that a memorial service will be held at a later date. Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory in Carbon Hill is assisting the family.
Michael was a U.S. Army veteran and received an honorable discharge in September, 1999. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. Michael enjoyed hunting, spending time with his kids and living life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald "Duck" Box; mother, Leonia "Pete" Box; brother, Guy Box and sisters, Barbara Jean Hill and Lynn Johnson.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Michele Box; his children, Kyla (Thomas) Pearson, Lucas Box, Miranda Box and Chloe Box; grandcat, Sassy Pearson; sister, Ann (Jody) White and nieces, Courtney (Andrew) Key and Jessica White.
