Garbage routes changing due to Memorial Day

WINSTON COUNTY - Memorial Day is Monday, May 30, which means some local residents will see changes to their garbage routes next week.
The Winston County Sanitation Department will be closed for the holiday.  Routes 1 and 5 will have their trash collected on Tuesday, May 31.  Routes 3 and 4 will have their trash collected on Wednedsay, June 1, and route 2 will have its trash collected on Thursday, June 2.
The Winston County Sanitation Department reminds all its customers to have their garbage out by 6 a.m. on their pick-up day.  Garbage placed out after the truck has run will be picked up on the customer’s next collection day.  Only household-type garbage will be collected.
The Haleyville Street and Sanitation Department will also be closed on Monday for the Memorial Day holiday.  Monday’s trash route will be collected on Tuesday, May 31, along with the regular Tuesday route.
