Winston Rescue Squad plans expansion

ADDISON - The expansion of ambulance services by the Winston County Rescue Squad also means an expansion of the Addison Fire Station.
The rescue squad will continue to also use the Arley Fire station, but will also have an office in Addison at the fire station on County Road 41 at Alexander Park.  This will require a renovation of office space and additional bay space for an ambulance, Kyle Woodard, member of both the fire department and rescue squad, said.

ADDISON - The town of Addison is dealing with multiple resignations from various departments, all within the past week, including the police chief, police officer/school resource officer, a town council member and the water department employee.

Addison business owners angry after sewer project stalls


Johnny and Sherry Porter have held up completing construction of a new business, after having laid the foundation, awaiting on a new sewer line to be installed at a row of businesses off HIghway 278 near the Texaco station in Addison.
ADDISON - A sewer line installation project - already delayed several months - has come to a grinding halt after the Addison Town Council voted at their Monday, Nov. 4, meeting to rescind a resolution for the project and reject all bids.

Addison Town Council seeking attorney general’s opinion


The Addison Municipal Airport is located off Sardis Airport Road. The hangers in the background and plane being housed are located on private property adjacent to the airport. The town owns the grass strip runway.
ADDISON - A resolution has been approved by the Addison Town Council to seek an Alabama Attorney General’s opinion on the proper way to proceed with possibly selling the town’s airport.
