Lavaughn Reynolds, 73, of Haleyville, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at her residence.
Lavaughn was born on December 28, 1951, to John Reynolds and Audree Willis. She was a sweet lady who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Lavaughn often enjoyed watching movies with her family. She loved to dance and was commonly found piecing together her puzzles with gospel music. Lavaughn was a big fan of Elvis Presley and collected a good bit of his memorabilia. She loved spending time with her best friend Twala Thrasher and her other friend James Henderson. Lavaughn above all was a kind and caring soul who would cook for her family during the holidays. She loved to hold and hug her grandchildren as often as possible. Although kind, Lavaughn was also stubborn and would often tell people "I know, I will do it sooner or later."
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Her funeral will follow, starting at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Ricky White. Burial will take place in Union Grove Church Cemetery in Haleyville.
