HALEYVILLE - The family of Jessica Leeann Hamby, 24, of Haleyville, who was officially last seen on Jan 2, still seek answers behind her disappearance while clinging to hope the case will be solved and they will have some sort of closure as to what happened to her. Hamby reportedly left her residence on Jan. 2 and has not returned, with her direction of travel unknown, according to the State Bureau of Investigation which is involved in the investigation along with numerous other involved agencies. The report was initially filed with Haleyville Police and has since involved other efforts of Hackleburg Police, Winston County Sheriff's Office, Marion County Sheriff's Office, Bear Creek Police Department, Alabama Bureau of Investigation and Winston/Marion County District Attorney's Office 25th Judicial Circuit, officials said. There have been no recent sightings of Hamby, as Hamby's mother Lynn Ballard is urging anyone with information on Hamby's whereabouts or those who may have any information to come forward anonymously and share that information with law enforcement which may help lead to solving the case.
