LYNN - The Lynn Bears, led by Coach Calvin Aldridge, are bringing back a great group of seniors for what they are hoping will be a great season.
Entering his fifth year as head coach, Aldridge is counting on his seniors to help his team rise above the pack in the crowded and challenging Region 6 of Class 1A.
“We have 10 seniors this year,” Aldridge said.
Some of the seniors Aldridge is expecting great things from include quarterback Brandon Hill, running back Griffin Lynn, tight end Chance Majors and running back J.T. Linley. All four are dual threats, just as dangerous on defense as they are on offense.
With seven teams in the region, the majority of Lynn’s season is taken up through regional play, but that’s OK with Aldridge, who sees the positives of playing such a large group of region games.
“We get to see some of the best in 1A,” Aldridge said. “It helps prepare us for the playoffs.”
