DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Double Springs Senior Center will be closed Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, due to a sewer issue. The city has contracted to have the problem corrected, but are expecting to have to cut out a portion of the floor to fix replace sewer lines.
The center will also be closed Monday, April 22, due to a holiday, according to Senior Center Director Joanie Elliott,. Plans are currently for the center to reopen on Tuesday, April 23, Elliott said.
Those who are homebound and receive meals from the senior center will still receive their meals next week, according to Elliott.
