On August 5th, 2024, The Haleyville Water Works and Sewer Board will start the project of inspecting the water service lines, both the system’s portion as well as the owner’s portion. This project will be on done by Gaines Utility Construction Company, LLC. This project could take up to 90 days to complete. It will be achieved by hand digging with a shovel (generally around the meter box) in order to get a visual of the materials used. This should not interfere with your service in any way.
This project is mandated by the EPA to ensure we are in compliance the EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule.
