Janette Harbin

Janette Harbin, 87, of Haleyville, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Her funeral will begin at 3 p.m., with Bro. Terry Bentley and Bro. Mitch Nethery officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ebron Cemetery, Double Springs.

Born on January 11, 1938, Janette lived a life rooted in faith, family and service. She was a devoted Christian and a cherished member of Haleyville Methodist Church, where her presence and prayers touched many lives.

Janette's life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith and deep love for her family and church community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Janette is survived by her loving children, Lee (Cindy) Harbin and Pam Kelsoe; her grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Bentley, Justin (Carly) Harbin, Jordan Kelsoe, Summer (Ty) Lollar and Chloe Reynolds and great-grandchildren, Matthew Bentley, Hannah Kate Bentley and Cameron Waid, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Margrette Leveck and Barbara Sue Vanhoossear; sisters-in-law, Veranda Burrell and Johnnie Parrish and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O'Neal Harbin; her son, Richard Neal Harbin; grandson, William Kelsoe; her parents, Dellia Moody and Melvin Vickery; her stepmother, Sid Vickery and her sister, Elsie Smith.
