Tommy Moore

Tommy Joe Moore, 66, of Double Springs, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025. He began his law enforcement career with the Winston County Sheriff's Office in 1987 as a reserve deputy, then served as a full time deputy, investigator, chief investigator, chief deputy, worked with the District Attorney's Office as an investigator, then served as Sheriff of Winston County.

Visitation will be Friday August 29, 2025 from 12 - 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Double Springs. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. in the church, with Bro. Abe Rooks officiating. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Pinkard Funeral Home will direct.

He is survived by his children, Dana (Steven) Shook, Melissa Lolley, Damien (Casey) Maze and Shae (Patrick) Burnette; 2 sisters, Sandra (David) Speakman and Terri Roden; 1 brother, Steve Moore; grandchildren, Makenzie (Robbie) Berger, Devin Shook, Hannah Morgan, Dawton Shook, Jada Shook, Jadden Shook, Brennon Roloff, Jorden Roloff, Crimson Maze, Kynlee Burnette, Taylor Burnette and Charley Burnette; great-grandchildren, Jenson Berger, Khloe Shook, Bankston Berger and Luxten Rowe and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Horace Moore and wife, Shelia Moore.
