Thurston Stephen "Steve" Hendrix, 76, of Double Springs, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Steve was born April 30, 1949 to Thurston and Mae Hendrix. He enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his cattle farm. He loved helping people and going to church. Steve was very strong in his faith, told people about the Lord everywhere he went.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where his funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Danny Page and Brother Mickey Millican will officiate.
Thurston is survived by his wife, Mary Hendrix; sons, Michael (Tammy) Hendrix and Danny (Brandy) Hendrix; grandchildren, Cade Hendrix, Carley Hendrix and Jace Hendrix; sisters, Rita (Terry) Tidwell and Brenda (Paul) Pennington; brother, Tim (Cheryl) Hendrix and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thurston Earl Hendrix; mother, Mae Laturive Jones and infant brother, Gregory Hendrix.
