Jerry Dee Brannon, 85, of Addison, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 26, 1940 in Madera, California to Zemon and Deliah Rachel Hodge Brannon. He attended Addison High School for 12 years. He was a retired jack-of-all-trades. There was nothing he couldn't fix. Jerry enjoyed spending time in his shop, especially on woodworking projects. He was happily married for 62 years to Glenda Ann Cross. They loved spending time with their children and grandchildren, watching the Addison Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide play football and vacationing in the Smokey Mountains.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where his funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Addison. Brother Tim Box and Brother Kenny Sudduth will officiate.
Jerry is survived by his children, John "Dee" (Paula) Brannon, Tammy (Alan) Mah and Jerrie Ann Mayhall; four grandchildren, Zach (Hannah Elliott) Brannon, Savannah (Tyson) Parrish, Hannah M. Brannon and John Mark Mayhall; four great-grandchildren, Eli Burleson, Elliott Grace Brannon, Vivie Mae Brannon and Andee Kate Brannon and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Brannon; parents, Zemon and Deliah Rachel Hodge Brannon; brother, Hillard Brannon and brother and sister-in-law, Dexter and Shelia Brannon.
The family extends appreciation to Aveanna Hospice for all the care provided over the past few months.
