Community Unity to be honored

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Community Unity will be honored with a plaque and $5,000 added into their account from the Double Springs Town Council.
Double Springs Mayor Elmo Robinson at the town council meeting Monday, July 9, made a request to honor the two women responsible for getting everything organized within Community Unity: Crystal Till and April Flake.
“They put in a lot of time and a lot of hours,” Robinson said. “The way they’ve been paying for all of this is through donations. We have put in a lot of money on electricity and things, but we’ve never really given them any money to buy prizes and different things.”
