ADDISON - It was an emotional homecoming in Addison Friday, as the Bulldogs channeled their love and remembrance for a fallen teammate into a 38-12 victory over the Vinemont Eagles.
Jeff and Donna Gunnin, the parents of the late Will Gunnin, who passed away Nov. 29, 2016, as the result of a vehicle accident, were honored along with the memory of their son in a ceremony prior to the beginning of the game Friday night. Will would have been a senior this year. The Gunnins escorted out the homecoming queen, Brie Ory, and were also presented gifts by Will’s classmates. The entire crowd came to their feet to give them a standing ovation.
