Lady Bears shut out Covenant Christian

Breanna Barton threw a shutout to lead Lynn Lady Bears past Covenant Christian 6-0 on Saturday, April 20.

Lynn secured the victory thanks to four runs in the fifth inning, led by big bats of Barton, Sadie Tittle, and Laney Uptain, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

LHS fired up the offense in the first inning, when Barton's sac fly scored two runs.

The Lady Bears put up four runs in the fifth inning. Barton, Tittle, and Uptain powered the big inning with RBIs.

One bright spot for Covenant Christian was a single by Ashlee Gann in the first inning.

Barton was credited with the victory for Lynn. She surrendered zero runs on four hits over five innings, striking out seven.

Katie Ann Brackin took the loss for Covenant Christian. She allowed six hits and six runs over five innings, striking out four.

Uptain, Gracie Jordan, Tittle, Hannah Alsup, Barton, and Kendra Hannah all had one hit to lead Lynn.
