Haleyville FD responds to outbuilding fire

HALEYVILLE -  The Haleyville Fire Department was called out around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 ,to a structure fire at 1201 16th Street. Firefighters discovered a metal 8x8 outbuilding on fire behind the residence, acting  fire chief Terrell Baccus said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, using about 500 gallons of water. Robert Stone, who lives at the residence, said an electrical cord had been run to the building and that a light had possibly been left on in the outbuilding.  No injuries were reported and the fire department had the scene under control.
