HALEYVILLE - Two major changes in administrative positions topped a lengthy list of personnel items approved by the Haleyville Board of Education at their Monday, April 27, meeting.

HALEYVILLE - Wednesday, April 30, 1986, is being remembered with sadness, as well as treasured memories, as now-retired educators are looking back 40 years to when the Haleyville School building on Highway 195 was destroyed by fire just a few weeks before the end of the school year.

HALEYVILLE - The Heart of Haleyville Park Committee is inviting everyone to come out to the park Saturday, May 2, at 6 p.m. to see a young man who is making quite a name for himself with his tribute to the one and only Elvis Presley.

Haleyville to receive $800,000 grant for airport improvements

HALEYVILLE - Renovation work at the pilot’s lounge area at the Haleyville Municipal Airport is currently being done as just the first step ahead of a major overhaul project coming later, thanks to the approval of an $800,000 grant through the Airport Terminal Program, a branch of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program.
