Bice named to dean’s list

HALEYVILLE - Brooklyn Bice, of Haleyville, has been named to the summer 2023 Dean's List at Palmer College of Chiropractic's Florida Campus in Port Orange, Florida.
Palmer College of Chiropractic, the first and largest college in the chiropractic profession, has campuses in Davenport, Iowa; San Jose, California; and Port Orange, Florida.

Record reserve funding may go quickly, thanks to ESSER’s end

HALEYVILLE - Although education officials are excited over the record amount of reserve funding on hand for Haleyville City Schools, they are being advised the money will be spent quickly on major needs of the system, while ESSER funds will be depleted by 2024.

Deaths of Cullman County men found near Haleyville under investigation

HALEYVILLE - Investigation is underway to determine the cause of death of two Cullman County men whose bodies were discovered Wednesday, Nov. 8, in a vehicle parked off County Road 17 on an old logging road near Haleyville, law enforcement said.

Local veterans' sacrifices to be honored with parade and ceremony

HALEYVILLE - Veterans are concerned that the public’s attendance at such city parades as homecoming and Christmas seems to be much larger than those lining the downtown streets for the annual Veterans parade and program each year.
