City of Haleyville preparing for potential long duration severe weather outbreak

HALEYVILLE - Haleyville Mayor Ken Sunseri held a meeting with city department heads and representatives from other major entities in the city Friday morning, March 14, at Haleyville City Hall to review preparations for what could be a prolonged severe weather outbreak beginning tonight and lasting potentially through Saturday night, March 15.

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Area Chamber of Commerce held its monthly meeting Friday, March 1, in the courtroom at Haleyville City Hall.  Stephanie Childers, executive director of United Way of Cullman County, was the guest speaker at the meeting.

Tuesday storms and high winds leave damage in their wake


A large tree crashed into an occupied home on 32nd Street in Haleyville Tuesday, March 4, as a line of thunderstorms was passing through the area. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
WINSTON COUNTY - A fast moving line of thunderstorms, as well as very gusty winds outside of storms Tuesday, March 4, have left significant damage in their wake.

Robertson graduates from MSU

HALEYVILLE - Drake Robertson, of Haleyville, is among approximately 1,500 students graduating from Mississippi State University in fall 2024, with commencement in December.

Robertson received the bachelor of science summa cum laude from MSU's Bagley College of Engineering.
