Lady Lions blow out Fayette County 11-5

CURRY - The Haleyville Lady Lions asserted their will over Fayette County on their way to an easy 11-5 victory Monday, April 29, in the 4A Area 11 tournament held at Curry High School. This was the second game for HHS in the tournament.
The Lady Lions got things started in the second inning. An error scored one run for the Lady Lions.
Lady Lions notched four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from triples by Kaylee Riddle and Hailie Moody and a home run by Ana Aaron.

Four RBI day for Whiteside aids in Lions win over Fayette County

HALEYVILLE - John Whiteside was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Thursday, April 11, driving in four on three hits to lead Haleyville baseball past Fayette County 11-1 on Thursday. Whiteside drove in runs on a single in the second, a single in the third, and a single in the sixth.

Two Haleyville Lions JV pitchers combine to shutout Fayette County

FAYETTE - Haleyville Lions junior varsity baseball team defeated Fayette County 9-0 on Wednesday, April 10, in Fayette. Two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Camden Smith was the winning pitcher for Haleyville. He lasted two innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out one. Garrett threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

HHS captures first round victories

CURRY - Two points were enough to give the Haleyville Lions the win Tuesday, Feb. 5, in the first round of area play at Curry High School. The Lions defeated the Fayette Tigers by a score of 54-52. This put the Lions in the championship round Thursday, Feb. 7, against Curry, with Haleyville winning in overtime 49-42.

HHS varsity teams capture area wins over Fayette

HALEYVILLE - It was three wins for the Haleyville High School Lions Friday, Jan. 18, with the junior varsity boys, varsity girls and boys all taking wins over area opponent Fayette.
In the varsity girls game, Haleyville won 60-36. Alli Temple lead the scoring for the Lady Lions, putting in half the points with 30, followed by Catie Aldridge with 12; Reagan Kutis added 3 points; McKenzee Reid, 2; Tesley Callahan 4 and Molly Gilbert 9.

FAYETTE - The Haleyville Lady Lions took a big area win Friday night, Jan. 4, against the Fayette Lady Tigers by a score of 57-26. The Lady Lions were in charge from the start, leading all four periods. Scoring for HHS include: Reagan Kutis 11; Ashton McCullar 7; Alli Temple 26; Tesley Callahan 5; Molly Gilbert 2; Catie Aldridge 3, Kaitlyn Mobley 3.
The Haleyville Lions lost a close one to Fayette in the final game of the night, 36-34.
