MUSCLE SHOALS - Local and area officials, including the Haleyville Area Chamber of Commerce, received a welcomed funding announcement on Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, from the Northwest Alabama Council of Local Governments of funds totaling over $1 million to be used to help businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
MUSCLE SHOALS - The Northwest-Shoals Community College Adult Education, Ready to Work and the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council programs are partnering to offer a free summer pre-apprenticeship program, CTE 101, beginning May 26.
HALEYVILLE - The Lady Lions fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-2 loss to Muscle Shoals on Thursday, April 11. Muscle Shoals scored on a sacrifice fly in the first inning and a single in the second inning.
The Lady Lions struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Muscle Shoals, giving up eight runs.
