2026 is an election year, and the Alabamian is offering local, state and federal candidates the option to run candidate profiles, either free or paid.

The Alabamian will continue our tradition of saluting veterans this year by once again running our annual Veterans section the week of Veterans Day.

HALEYVILLE - An electrical fire contained to the press room area of the Northwest Alabamian newspaper office on Monday, Sept. 23, did not result in any injuries to employees, but did cause an evacuation of the building and a temporary shutdown of the business, affecting deadline schedules this week.
