March Madness Golf Tournament slated March 30

The Wallace State Relay For Life team will hold a March Madness Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 30, at Cross Creek Golf Course.
Check in will begin at 11 a.m., with a noon shotgun start. The two-player scramble is flighted and includes a couple’s division.
Entry is $120 per team, and includes green fees and cart with GPS and club cover, team range balls, tournament gift, one attempt for longest drive, one attempt for closest pin, one attempt for closest second shot, dinner, prizes/photo.

2-man scramble to benefit Waldrop Youth Training Center


MOULTON - Waldrop Free Will Baptist Church, near Haleyville, is sponsoring a 2-man scramble golf tournament Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Deer Run Golf Course, in Moulton. Proceeds will benefit the Waldrop Church Youth Training Center.
The fee is $100 per team. There will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start, with prizes for first, second and third place.
There will be additional opportunities for a Hole In One prize to include a bass fishing boat and Closest to the Pin prizes.
A silent auction will also be held.

Haleyville golfing Lions finish fourth in state


Rob Richards birdies at #1.

MUSCLE SHOALS - To finish the year in the top four in the state is something to be very proud of and that is exactly what the Haleyville High School golf team did.
The five-member team, which included Baylor Arnold, Jonathan Cagle, Jack Lawson, J.B. Miller and Rob Richards, with their coach Dusty Ball, traveled to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals Monday, May 14, and Tuesday, May 15, for state competition.

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Lions golf team defeated Hamilton by a score of 164 to 225 on Tuesday, March 13. J.B. Miller was the medalist, with a round of 36. Haleyville golf coach is Dusty Ball.
