Half-tuition scholarship opportunity for NW-SCC students with 30 credit hours

WINSTON COUNTY - Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC), which has campuses in Phil Campbell and Muscle Shoals, is offering students who have completed at least 30 credit hours at NW-SCC an opportunity to finish their college degree or certificate program with less financial burden this fall through the Continuing Excellence Scholarship. The deadline to apply for the half-tuition scholarship is Monday, August 1, 2022. 

Northwest-Shoals sees increase in enrollment

PHIL CAMPBELL - Northwest-Shoals Community College has enrolled 3,443 credit students for the fall 2021 semester, which is an increase of 82 students, or over two percent, from fall 2020 figures.

According to interim NW-SCC President Dr. Chris Cox, the college looks to build on this momentum and focus on providing the best facilities and atmosphere for its students to be successful.

Northwest-Shoals awarded over $3 million to help low income, first generation and students with disabilities succeed in college

PHIL CAMPBELL - The U.S. Department of Education recently announced that Northwest-Shoals Community College will receive a federal Student Support Services grant of $3,171,090 to help more students succeed in and graduate from college.
