ARLEY - The Arley Police Department has computers in its vehicles dating back to the time when Ed Townsend was sheriff.

HALEYVILLE - In a very short Haleyville City Council meeting Monday, Jan. 7, council members learned from Haleyville Mayor Ken Sunseri about two new items that will benefit not only residents, but the city’s first responders.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Double Springs police, fire and street departments will all three benefit from a new building soon to be constructed on land behind the town hall.

BEAR CREEK - A Bear Creek woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude a police officer, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance, said Haleyville Police Chief Kyle Reogas.

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville City Council approved a grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice for bulletproof vests for the Haleyville Police Department during their meeting Monday, April 16.

MONTGOMERY — Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded grants totaling $41,371 to provide equipment for three police departments in Cullman and Winston counties.
