HALEYVILLE - What began as an expansion of the Haleyville High School nurse's station thanks to state windfall monies has led to a multi-faceted project displaying student talent as a memorial to Sr. Airman Mark Forester, who was killed in the line of duty in 2010.

Woodmen Life donates 2 flags to HCS

HALEYVILLE - Woodmen Life Insurance recently presented two American flags to Haleyville City Schools, one to be flown on the pole at the high school campus, the other to be flown on a pole at the Haleyville Center of Technology. Woodmen Life presents flags to non-profit groups or organizations. Shown making the presentation to High School Principal Davey Reed is Woodmen Life Sales Representative Todd Dillard. MHS Band state champions; HHS Band runner up in 4A

HOOVER - The Meek High School Band has truly lived up to its name - The Band of Champions - by earning top honors in 1A at the second annual Alabama State Marching Band Championship.

HALEYVILLE - Haleyville High School brought cheer and pep to the clients of the ARC center, serving clients with special needs in the Winston and Marion County area, by having the center's first high school pep rally Thursday, Oct. 3, in celebration of the school's homecoming festivities.
