Increased need for special education services a concern as Haleyville BOE passes budget

HALEYVILLE - The high rate that students requiring specialized instruction is increasing at Haleyville City Schools does not equal the amount of funding required, as school officials have reached out for financial assistance from their state legislators on the matter.

School records to be destroyed

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Winston County Schools will be destroying records of former special education students who have been exited from the school system for five years by June 30.  Anyone wishing to receive their records should contact Lauren Archer, special education coordinator, prior to June 30. Haleyville City Schools to destroy special education records

HALEYVILLE -  Haleyville City Schools will be destroying special education records for students who have been exited from the system for at least 5 years.

Anyone wishing to claim these files must do so by calling Susan Riggs at 205-486-9231, extension 5,  between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday - Thursday.  The tentative date of destruction is set for October 6, 2020.

Anyone wishing to claim these files must do so by calling Susan Riggs at 205-486-9231, extension 5,  between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday - Thursday. 
The tentative date of destruction is set for August 31, 2020.
