BEAR CREEK - The Bear Creek Town Council is showing they mean business when it comes to collecting past due fees for water service, especially since the collection process is hindering the repairs of numerous water leaks throughout the town.

BEAR CREEK - Extensive repairs and renovations that have been done to allow Twin Forks campgrounds and park to reopen have come with a tall price tag, leading to a discussion regarding finances and false statements on social media that culminated into a heated disagreement at the Bear Creek Council meeting April 9.

BEAR CREEK - A $1 million Community Development Block Grant/loan that will revamp the entire water system of Bear Creek, is all but hand delivered, as town officials are being urged to help complete the final step of the application process by listing all of the water lines and areas of the system that will be replaced.

BEAR CREEK - The use of social media to conduct any town business has been strictly condemned by Mayor Tammie Batchelor, who spoke out at the town council’s Dec. 3 meeting that such will not be tolerated, while at the same time issuing a new rule regarding those speaking at council meetings.
