Webb retiring as Winston County E-9-1-1 Director

Winston County E-9-1-1 Director Tim Webb, pictured in his office with a replica of the red phone used to make the nation’s first 9-1-1 call in Haleyville, will be retiring, effective Feb. 1.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - A committee formed by the Winston County E-9-1-1 Board is seeking a replacement for Winston County Enhanced 9-1-1 Director Tim Webb who will retire in February with over 36 years of total service to the state.

Duncan Bridge now state’s responsibility

WINSTON COUNTY - State legislators have brought long-awaited big news to the Winston County Commission that the Alabama Department of Transportation will be saving the county a large expense by taking over maintenance of Duncan Bridge and a portion of County Road 41.

Webb appointed to Alabama 9-1-1 Board

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Winston County 9-1-1 Executive Director Tim Webb has been appointed by Gov. Kay Ivey to the Alabama 9-1-1 Board, representing the Fourth Congressional District. Webb’s recommendation to fill a vacancy on the statewide board came from a group of his peers in the Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Districts, whose board of directors Webb has been a member of for six consecutive terms.
