SMITH LAKE - The Smith Lake Environmental Preservation Committee and Alabama Power are seeking volunteers for the Renew Our Rivers/SLEPC Smith Lake clean-up Earth Day, Friday, April 22.
The day will begin at 8 a.m. at the Smith Lake Park Boat Launch for sign-in and safety guidelines. Areas of the lake that will be cleaned are Simpson Creek and Ryan Creek from Smith Lake Park to Big Bridge.
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers and T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers.
To register, visit https://slepc.org. Volunteers need to register by Monday, April 18, in order to provide the SLEPC a head count of how many will be in attendance for lunch.
The SLEPC and Alabama Power thank everyone in advance for coming out to help keep Smith Lake clean and beautiful.
