HALEYVILLE - Registration is currently underway for Community Action Partnership of North Alabama’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs for the 2023 - 2024 school year.
Programs are located locally in Haleyville, Double Springs, Brilliant and Hamilton.
Head Start and Early Head Start provide top quality, comprehensive early childhood education services that get children ready for kindergarten at no cost to the family. Priorities are given to children with children with specific needs, including those with disabilities, those who might be homeless, in foster care or other vulnerable children.
Proof of a child’s birth (preferably a birth certificate) will be needed when applying, as well as verification of income, such as a W-2 form, check stubs, social security statement, child support, unemployment, etc. The child’s Medicaid or insurance card, WIC, food stamps, proof of kinship care and IFSP/IEP for children with disabilities is needed to apply.
Community Action also offers prenatal services for pregnant women and teens in some areas.
Transportation is not provided.
