Public swimming pools opening next week

WINSTON COUNTY - Summer days are here, which means the county’s public swimming pools will soon be open.
The Haleyville City Pool, located at the Neighborhood Facilities Building off of Highway 13 South, will open for the summer on Tuesday, May 30.  Hours will be 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
No swimming lessons will be offered this year.
The pool is available to book for private parties.  The cost is $250 for a 2-hour party.  To book a party, call (205) 486-7969.
The Double Springs City Pool, located at the Double Springs Community Center, will open for the season on Thursday, June 1.  Hours will be 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and from 12-5 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Double Springs Pool is also available to book for private parties.  The cost is $140 for 2 hours, $190 for 3 hours and $240 for 4 hours.
