ADDISON - The Addison Ladies Club will be sponsoring a benefit glow run Friday, Feb. 9, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Alexander Park, located off of County Road 41 North.
The entry fee is $5 or free with a T-shirt purchase. T-shirts are $20. To register or order a shirt, call (256) 347-2767 or (256) 347-9662.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the American Heart Association. February is American Hearth Month, and the Addison Ladies Club is wanting to bring awareness to one of the leading killers in our nation. In the United States, someone dies every 33 seconds from heart disease. Heart disease has been the leading cause of death in the United States since 1950,. The Addison Ladies Club hopes this event will help people be more aware of heart disease and the ways to battle it.
