Winston County Republican Primary results

WINSTON COUNTY - With all boxes now counted, the Republican Primary results for Winston County's local races are as follows:

Winston County Commission Chairman:

David Cummings:  2,912 votes totaling 49.25%

Bobby Everett:  2,170 votes totaling 36.70%

Nicholas Bailes:  831 votes totaling 14.05%

With no candidate getting 50% plus 1 vote, there will be a run-off between Cummings and Everett.

Winston County Schools Superintendent:

Jeff Scott:   3,551 votes totaling 60.36%

Heather Fortenberry Tucker:   2,332 votes totaling 39.64%

Winston County Board of Education District 4

Randy Lee:  590 votes totaling 46.57%

Ted Alexander:  432 votes totaling 34.10%

Tonise Partridge:  245 votes totaling 19.34%

With no candidate in this race getting 50% plus 1 vote, there will be a run-off between Randy Lee and Ted Alexander.

Winston County Board of Education District 5

Kristen Lawson McCay:  675 votes totaling 62.67%

Lamar Frith:  402 votes totaling 37.33%
