Portion of Haleyville's Ellenburg Road washed out

HALEYVILLE  - Winston County Commission Chairman David Cummings reports early Sunday morning April 6, that excessive rainfall during severe storms overnight has caused a portion of Ellenburg Road in Haleyville measuring 20 feet wide and 15 feet deep to completely wash out, due to strain on the culverts. Early Sunday morning, barricades were being brought to place on the road.  Motorists are being urged to avoid this area at this time. The road is located off Highway 13 near the new Dollar General store. More details will be updated as they are available.
