WINSTON COUNTY - The Winston County Commission will hold a free County-wide Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 10, in coordination with County Transfer Station in Halevylle, Pace Industries Landfill in Lynn and Hyche Landfill in Addison.
These landfills will be open to the public for free from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on that day. Each household may bring one load only. No more than four tires may be included in that load.
Appliances containing freon will only be accepted if the freon has been removed. No commercial or industrial waste is allowed.
The following items will not be accepted: household batteries, lead acid batteries, oil, paint, aerosol cans, chemicals, styrofoam, televisions and household garbage.
The commission asks the public to take this opportunity to clean up around their homes and on the roads where they live.
