County cleanup set for April 25

WINSTON COUNTY - The Winston County Commission has announced that Saturday, April 25, will be the day for the annual countywide spring cleanup.
From 8 a.m. until noon, the County Transfer Station in Haleyville, Pace Industries Landfill in Lynn and Hyche Landfill in Addison will be open to the public for free.  Only appliances with freon removed from them will be accepted.
The following items will not be accepted:

• household batteries;
• lead acid batteries:
• oil, paint or aerosol cans;
• chemicals;
• Styrofoam®;
• televisions;
• household garbage.

There will be a limit of four tires per vehicle or load accepted.
No commercial or industrial waste will be accepted.  
Only one load will be accepted per household.
