Jerry Dotson, 86, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at his home. He served in the United States Navy, retired from Gerald's Metals and was a member and served as a deacon for 23 years at Heritage Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2026 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. His funeral will be at 12 p.m. in the chapel, with his son-in-law, Allen Barton, officiating. Military honors will be accorded in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Dotson; children, Jerry (Karen) Dotson, Ronda Dotson, Angela (Allen) Barton, Toni (Chris) Smith and Jeffrey Scott (Amanda) Dotson; sisters, Carolyn June Dotson and Judy Dotson; brother, Michael Edward Dotson and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Dotson; brothers, James William Dotson and Jack Dotson and grandson, William Riley Dotson.
