Debra Jane "Debbie" Moody Corbin, 64, of Bear Creek, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born on August 16, 1962 to Troy Cummings and Jane McCay in Birmingham. She was in children's ministries for 36 years; she loved Jesus with her whole heart and lived her faith out loud. Debbie was a hippie at heart. She loved gardening and driving her convertible bug. Most importantly, she loved being a MiMi.
Visitation will be from 12-3 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Hackleburg Community Church, where her funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Bear Creek Cemetery. Joseph Martin and Mark Suitts will officiate. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Roy Corbin; children, Tiffany (Jeremy) Tidwell, Vana (Darren) Ables, Chloe (Randy) Thompson and Michael Corbin; grandchildren, Haston, Sam, Ashton, Trey, Madilyn, Maddox, Colton, Katie, Layton and Rylee; great-grandchild, Chandler; sisters, Tamara (Brian) Kelley and LouAnn (Scott) Rushing; nieces and nephews, Charlie, Jordan, Austin, Johnathan, Braydan, Landan and Ella and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Cummings; mother, Jane McCay; stepfather, Bob McCay; son, Allen Morgan; daughter-in-law, Jessica Corbin; niece, Kaitlynn Keplinger and her grandparents.
