Hayes, mayors respond to residents' plea for better water

WINSTON COUNTY - After yet another plea presented to officials about contaminated well water on County Road 25, the Winston County Commission is joining forces with the towns of Double Springs and Lynn, as well as the North Alabama Council of Local Governments in seeking answers.
Winston County Commission Chairman Roger Hayes noted the commission would be contacting NACOLG to see if any grant funding would be available.
The big question is whether the project would meet the grant qualifications, county officials expressed.
A study was done on the area in question in 2013, Hayes noted.
