VINEMONT - A two-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, has claimed two lives. Shirell Clyde Hyatt, 90, of Vinemont was seriously injured when the 2002 Honda Accord he was driving collided head-on with a 2015 Ford Mustang driven by Dalton Edward Wade, 20, of Gardendale. Mr. Hyatt died of his injuries while en route to Huntsville Hospital. Alma Nail Hyatt, 84, of Vinemont, was pronounced dead at the scene. Wade was not injured. The crash occurred on U.S. 31 in Vinemont. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
