Meek splits tri-match at Vinemont

VINEMONT - The Meek Lady Tigers kicked off the 2025 varsity volleyball season Thursday, Aug. 21, on the road at Vinemont in a tri-match that included Brindley Mountain.  The Lady Tigers split, with a 2-0 win over Brindley Mountain and a 2-1 loss to Vinemont.

Stats for both matches are as follows:

 

Addy Cate Henderson:  12 serves, 3 aces;

Molli Sandlin:  11 serves, 2 aces;

C.J. Daugherty:  16 serves, 4 aces;

Hadley Murrah:  13 serves;

AnnaBelle Collins:  20 serves, 3 aces;

Zoe Hearn:  16 serves, 2 aces.

VINEMONT - The Addison Bulldogs (4-2, 1-1) came out of region play to travel to Vinemont (2-3, 1-1) Friday, Sept. 27.  The pairing of the Eagles and Dawgs usually makes for some good football, and this year's clash was no different.  The Dawgs went into halftime with a razor-thin lead only to come alive in the second half, heading back across the Cullman-Winston County line with a 21-6 victory.

Addison Bulldogs shutout by Vinemont 6-0


    Addison Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-0 loss to Vinemont on Saturday,  April 6.
    The Bulldogs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Vinemont, giving up six runs.
    Vinemont got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Vinemont.
    Hayden Lee took the loss for AHS. He allowed eight hits and five runs over six innings, striking out four and walking one.
    Vinemont had nine hits in the game.

ADDISON - It was an emotional homecoming in Addison Friday, as the Bulldogs channeled their love and remembrance for a fallen teammate into a 38-12 victory over the Vinemont Eagles.
