HALEYVILLE - The time has come to update water and sewer lines and freshly pavie areas of 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th avenues, thanks to a $450,000 Community Development Block Grant, which would be funded as a partnership between the City of Haleyville and the water department.
The maximum amount for which the city can apply is $450,000 in CDBG funds administered through the Northwest Council of Local Governments, according to Haleyville Mayor Ken Sunseri.
The joint project between the city and water department would be to replace water and sewer lines, many of which have become outdated, city officials said.
