Cub Scout sells 78 plates for fundraiser, awarded “good turn” coin


Caleb Pruitt sold 78 plates for the Big Jerry’s Fundraiser and was awarded the “Do a Good Turn Daily” coin.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Caleb Pruitt, age 8, is going to be a natural born salesman when he grows up. The third grader was honored Monday, Aug. 20, at the Double Springs Cub Scouts Pack 92 meeting, for selling 78 plates for the Big Jerry’s Fundraiser. He sold 49 steak and 29 chicken plates.

Pruitt is looking forward to the year in scouts, especially the carving and Cub Haunted. He explained more about Cub Haunted.

“It’s a camping trip. (We) shoot BB guns, shoot arrows, slingshots, sing songs, tell stories and roast marshmallows.”
