CRANE HILL - What do combs, toothbrushes, unopened bottles of water, unopened bottles of oil, tires, rubber snakes, aerosol cans, plastic bags, light bulbs, tarps, chairs, rope, bobbers and barrels have in common? Those are just some of the items volunteers, Alabama Power and the Winston County Smith Lake Advocacy Group picked off the shore of Smith Lake Thursday, Oct. 4.
Volunteers and groups met at Jim King’s Boat Launch near Crane Hill.
Kenny Kilpatrick, vice president of the WCSLA, welcomed everyone for coming and started a brief safety meeting before those present tackled trash.
