ADDISON - Addison Elementary School is truly a school of distinction, being the first school system among Winston County Schools to have been named a the Lighthouse or top level under the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
Dennis Bega, senior assessor with Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, a national initiative, paid a special visit recently to the elementary school to inform them of this great honor.
WC Schools Superintendent Greg Pendley invited Bega to visit all of the schools in the county system conducting assessments and meeting with parents and teachers.
