Local students graduate from the University of West Alabama

LIVINGSTON - The University of West Alabama held fall commencement exercises on Saturday, December 8, with President Ken Tucker conferring undergraduate, master, and education specialist degrees to students of the colleges of business, education, liberal arts, and natural sciences and mathematics,  and to the School of Graduate Studies. The more than 800 students in the graduating class represent some 23 states across the U.S. and abroad.

Local students who graduated are:

Bobby Daniel, of Double Springs, Master of Education in physical education

Joshua Gurley, of Double Springs, Master of Education in instructional leadership.

Brittney Tucker, of Double Springs, Master of Education in instructional leadership.

Kristopher Fischer, of Haleyville, Master of Education in instructional leadership.

Tammy McKinney, of Haleyville, Master of Education in elementary education.

Dakota Rushing, of Haleyville, bachelor of science in interdisciplinary studies.

Brian Lawson, of Nauvoo, Master of Education in elementary education.

Jodi Lawson, of Nauvoo, Master of Education in special education.

David Meeks, of Nauvoo, Master of Arts in Teaching in mathematics.

Kara Tittle, of Nauvoo, Master of Education in library media.

Daniel Taylor, of Phil Campbell, Master of Education in history.
