Picnic honors HHS cross country athletes

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville High School cross country team recently celebrated the end of a very successful season with an awards picnic at City Lake Park, in Haleyville. The season begins in June with summer conditioning and wraps up in November with state competition.
The ladies placed 12th in the state 4A division. State qualifiers for them included,
Ana Aaron, Kaytee Beth Boyles, Mae Boyles, Aly Donaldson, Holly Flippo, Daniela Largo, Emily Miller, Carlie Pendley, McKenzee Reid and Aynelise Vickery.
The men qualifiers were Hayden Armstrong, Lewis Barber, Tristan Carter, Garrett Clark, John Robert Ellis, Riley Miller, Drake Robertson, William Robins, Zeke Shipman and Gracen Smith.
Awards presented during the picnic included:
Seniors: Aly Donaldson, McKenzee Reid, Tristan Carter, John Robert Ellis, Riley Miller and Drake Robertson;
Rookie Award: Kaytee Beth Boyles, William Robins;
Most Improved: Mae Boyles, Riley Miller;

Miss Cross Country: Aly Donaldson;
Mr. Cross Country: Tristan Carter;
Bill Barringer Award: Emily Miller, John Robert Ellis;
Howie Lyons Legacy Award: Aly Donaldson, Drake Robertson;
