Haleyville Board of Education approves numerous personnel items

HALEYVILLE -The Haleyville Board of Education met in regular session June 25, approving numerous personnel items.  They are as follows:

The resignation of Julie Wilcoxson as special education teacher at Haleyville High School, effective May 24;

The resignation of Carolyn Cozette Pickens as HHS lunchroom worker, effective May 24;

The resignation of Allie Austin as Haleyville Elementary School speech language pathology assistant, effective May 24;

The resignation of Billy James Haleyville City Schools resource officer, effective May 23;

The resignation of Hunter Mullins as HES physical education teacher, effective June 11;

Family medical leave granted for Leah Lyle at HES Aug. 8 - Jan. 6, 2020;

Family medical leave granted for Lauren Hall at HES effective Aug. 8-Oct. 11;

Leave of absence granted for Angela Jones, HES special education teacher, effective through May 25, 2020;

Resignation of Lisa Cook as STEAM Camp teacher at HES for the 2019 summer STEAM camp, effective May 24;

The voluntary transfer of Alyssa Elliott from HES teacher to HHS special education self-contained teacher for the 2019-2020 school year;

Dina Sparks hired as HES STEAM Camp teacher for the 2019 summer STEAM camp;

Waid Miller hired as HES physical education teacher, effective Aug. 5;

Lisa Emerson hired as HES Bright Start morning tutor, effective Aug. 8;

Lilian Maleni Navarro hired as English language teacher for HCS, effective Aug. 5;

Shelby Humphres hired as HES special education teacher, effective Aug. 5;

Stephanie Lowman approved as HES Pre-K/early education teacher, effective Aug. 5;

Madeleine Page hired as HES teacher, effective Aug. 5;

Cindy Sutherland hired as HES auxiliary preschool teacher, effective Aug. 5;

Robert A. Lambert transferred from HHS math teacher to HHS in-school suspension teacher, effective Aug. 5;

Katie Coleman hired as HES full-time lunchroom worker, effective Aug. 5;

Melissa "Missy" Taylor hired as part-time lunchroom worker, effective Aug. 5;

Ginger Whaley hired as HHS math teacher, effective Aug. 5;

The resignation of Abby Huff as Haleyville Middle School special education teacher, effective June 25;

The probationary contract for Davey Reed as HHS principal was approved, effective June 3.  Candy Garner was hired as assistant principal/instructional specialist at HHS, effective July 29.  Todd McNutt's remaining seven days of vacation were approved to be paid and supplements for HES yearbooks sponsors Brooke Yarbrough and Leah Epperson were approved.
