Haleyville Post 33 takes on Hartselle and Madison

 HALEYVILLE - Haleyville Post 33 fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-3 loss to Hartselle  on Tuesday, June 25. Hartselle scored on a single by Hudson Olive, a single by Jonah Cheek, a single by Braden Bevis and a single by Cameron Bracken in the first inning.
The Haleyville Post 33 struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hartselle, giving up 13 runs.
Cheek got the start for Hartselle. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and two runs, while striking out two.
Kaleb Garrett led things off on the pitcher's mound for Haleyville Post 33. He went six innings, allowing 13 runs on 14 hits, striking out seven and walking one.
Garrett went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Haleyville Post 33 in hits.
Hartselle tallied 14 hits. Wyatt King, Brodie Kauffman, Cheek and Bracken all managed multiple hits for Hartselle. King led, with three hits in four at bats.
The two teams  played to a 4-4 tie in the second game of the double header. Haleyville Post 33 tied the game on a double in the fifth inning.
Hartselle open-ed up scoring in the first inning. An error scored one run.
Caleb Williams, Morgan Long, Travis Whitlock, and Josh Weaver each managed one hit to lead Haleyville Post 33.
On Saturday, July 6,  Haleyville tied the game on a single in the first inning, tying Madison Mayhem 6-6.
Williams, Ken Riley Edwards, Grant Wakefield, Brantson Lambert, Garrett, Eli Wakefield and Mac Wilcoxson each collected one hit to lead Haleyville Post 33.
Dixon led Madison Mayhem with two hits in four at bats.
 A walk-off single led Haleyville Post 33 past Madison 6-5 in the second game on Saturday. Haleyville Post 33 trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Kaleb Garrett singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
Madison Mayhem got things started in the first inning when Johnson singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Williams was on the mound for Haleyville Post 33. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and five runs, while striking out six.
Johnson led things off on the hill for Madison Mayhem. He went four innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out four. Fiore threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Garrett went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Haleyville Post 33 in hits.
Kulavich led Madison Mayhem with two hits in two at bats.
